Joan Milà Cailà

Joan specializes in arbitration and sports law at the national and international level.  He intervenes in procedures before sports arbitration courts and federative institutions and advises athletes and sporting entities in various areas of the law, including civil, administrative, and commercial

Joan essentially focuses his practice on arbitration and sports law, both at the national and international level.  He participates in proceedings before all manners of sports arbitration courts and federative institutions, most commonly in proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS-CAS) in Lausanne, as well as in disciplinary procedures before UEFA, FIFA, and other bodies.  Moreover, he advises athletes and sporting entities in different areas of the law in addition to sports law (including civil, administrative, and commercial law).

Joan also contributes his good knowledge of administrative and regulatory law, an area of law in which he practiced at the start of his career while at an international law firm. There, he mainly advised domestic and foreign companies and public institutions on projects related to investment, infrastructure, acquisitions of public assets, and contracts in regulated sectors.
