Yago Vázquez Moraga 

Yago represents the firm's clients in all types of legal proceedings, in matters of a civil, commercial, contentious-administrative or criminal nature, as well as in national and international arbitration proceedings. He has extensive experience in complex legal procedures, including those related to EU and competition law, having also acted, on multiple occasions, as an expert in Spanish law before foreign courts, preparing and defending opinions before the court in matters within his expertise.

His experience in this field includes filing extraordinary cassation appeals before the Supreme Court, as well as intervening in proceedings before the Constitutional Court, having achieved to raise a question of unconstitutionality before said body and intervening in the subsequent constitutional process. 

In the business field, he regularly advises companies from various industries, with his experience in the e-commerce, social media, marketing, betting, media and entertainment sectors bearing special mention, and provides comprehensive advice on relevant matters, such as consumer law, international trade, logistics, advertising, data protection and contracts related to said activities. In terms of TMT, he regularly advises companies in the audiovisual and technological sector on issues such as the negotiation and commercialization of audiovisual rights and products, preparation of image rights contracts, sponsorship contracts and all kinds of agreements related to the development of software and technology. In these matters, he defends the firm’s clients in procedures of all kinds before the competent regulatory and administrative authorities in each of these matters, including the CNMC.

His experience in the field of energy law is also noteworthy, where he has provided advice for years to companies in the sector, including energy suppliers and renewable energy companies.

In sports matters, he advises various stakeholders in the sports and entertainment industry (clubs, athletes, agents, federations, artists, gamers and e-gaming companies, among others) on contractual, regulatory, and disciplinary matters. It is worth noting his extensive experience in sports arbitration, having intervened in more than 130 international arbitration proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS), based in Lausanne, Switzerland. He is a member of the Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC) of the International Boxing Association (IBA), based in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Yago has been recognized for his work by legal directories such as Best Lawyers, Media Law International, and Leaders League. In addition, he is a member of The Law Reviews Expert Panel on Sports Law and Media and Entertainment Law.

Yago is a professor in various master’s degree programs and specialized courses, such as the Master’s in International Sports Law at the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economia (ISDE), the International Master’s in Sports Law and Management ISDE-KPMG, the Master’s in Esports Business at ISDE, the Master’s in Law Applied to Professional Football at LaLiga, and the Diploma in Sports Law at the Universidad Austral de Buenos Aires, among others.
