Jordi López Batet

In the commercial field, he has extensive experience in acquisitions of companies, real estate, businesses, and other assets, in corporate restructuring operations, and in other corporate and M&A transactions, foreign investment and financing, as well as in regularly providing advice on corporate, stock market, contractual, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance matters to multinational companies in sectors such as pharmaceuticals and health, real estate, automotive, large-scale distribution, textiles, marketing and advertising, and hotels, among others. He also advises entrepreneurs and investors in new technological and innovation projects, both in the configuration and initial phases of the project and in the investment rounds, as well as in later phases of consolidation of the company and its eventual sale. He also has in-depth knowledge about data protection, advertising, and unfair competition.

In sports matters, he advises various stakeholders in the sports and entertainment industry (clubs, athletes, agents, federations, and companies in the audiovisual sector, among others) on contractual, regulatory, and disciplinary matters and in matters of audiovisual rights and sponsorship. He is also an arbitrator in the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) based in Lausanne, Switzerland, Single Judge of the Anti-Doping Tribunal of the International Cycling Union (UCI) based in Aigle, Switzerland, and arbitrator of the LaLiga Football Arbitration Tribunal(TAF), having participated as sole arbitrator, president of the arbitration panel or co-arbitrator in more than 90 arbitration proceedings.

He also defends and represents the interests of the firm's clients in all types of litigation in civil and commercial matters and in commercial arbitration, and he is also an arbitrator of the Arbitration Court of Barcelona and a member of the Spanish Arbitration Club (CEA).
